Peer Review Process

The Journal of Economicate Studies (JoES) upholds a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality and credibility of its published works. This process follows a double-blind review system, maintaining the anonymity of both authors and reviewers. Qualified experts in relevant disciplines evaluate each submission based on its scholarly contribution, originality, and alignment with the journal’s objectives.

  1. Initial Screening: The editorial team conducts an initial evaluation of each submission to ensure it fits the journal’s scope and adheres to publication standards. Manuscripts with more than 20% similarity to existing works or that fail to meet basic criteria are immediately rejected. The team also reviews formatting, structure, and citation style based on the author guidelines. Submissions not meeting these requirements are returned for revision and resubmission. Only those passing this stage proceed to peer review.

  2. Reviewer Assignment: The editorial board selects at least three independent experts familiar with the manuscript’s topic and research methodology. To maintain impartiality, the process is double-blind—reviewers and authors remain anonymous. Reviewers must come from institutions other than the authors’, and the board considers expertise, experience, and potential conflicts of interest before sending invitations. The selection process aims to be completed within four weeks.

  3. Manuscript Evaluation: Reviewers critically assess the manuscript’s scientific quality, originality, methodological soundness, and relevance to the field. Typically completed within two weeks, the review provides constructive feedback for the authors and recommends whether the manuscript should be accepted, revised, or rejected.

  4. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers’ reports and adherence to the journal’s standards, the editor-in-chief decides whether to accept, reject, or request revisions. If reviewer opinions differ greatly, an additional expert may be consulted. The editorial team communicates the decision and anonymous reviewer comments to the authors. The target is to issue the first decision within one month and to publish accepted papers within four to eight weeks after acceptance.

  5. Revision Process: Authors asked to revise their manuscripts must address all reviewer comments and submit a revised version along with a response letter detailing the changes. Deadlines for revisions are two weeks for minor edits and four weeks for major ones. Substantial revisions are re-evaluated by the original reviewers to confirm adequacy.

  6. Final Preparation for Publication: Once accepted, manuscripts undergo final copyediting, proofreading, and formatting to ensure clarity and consistency before official publication.

Through its meticulous peer-review process, the Journal of Economicate Studies (JoES) guarantees that all published research upholds the highest standards of academic excellence, integrity, and quality.
